The bag is made from black Astrakhan fur (which is also known as broadtail or karakul lambskin). The use of Astrakhan fur (also known as Persian lamb or karakul) was popular in fashion for both coats and accessories, particularly from the 1930s through the 1960s. Its tightly curled texture gives the bag a dense, rich look. This material is characterized by its tight, flat, and unique curl pattern, giving it a rich texture.

  • Interior Lining: It is lined with a gorgeous ochre velvet, providing a soft and contrasting interior.
  • Handle: It has a black leather handle shaped from a rein.
  • Closure: The main flap closes with a magnetic snap (visible in the second photo).
  • Decorative Detail: A leather martingale stop is used decoratively on the closure. In equestrian terms, a martingale stop prevents the martingale ring from sliding too far up the reins. The combination of the rich Astrakhan fur, the dark leather, and the opulent ochre velvet lining makes this bag a perfect statement piece for the colder months or an elegant accessory for an evening out.
